M.Phil (Iqbal Studies)

Eligibility:	§         At least 2nd class Master degree in Urdu/ Persian/Philosophy or other relevant subject of Social Sciences. §          In case of other relevant subject in Social Sciences the candidate had studied Urdu/ Persian /Philosophy as elective subject at B.A level or had passed Iqbaliat B.A level code-405 of AIOU. §        He/she should have at least three published articles on Iqbal in a reputed National/International journals.
GAT Test:	After short listing the students will be called for GAT test from NTS and interview by the department. The admission will be granted purely on merit.
Admission Procedure:	The candidates are required to send original admission form complete in all respects to: (Prof. Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran)  Chairman Department of Iqbal Studies, Block No. 8, Allama Iqbal Open University, H-8, Islamabad.
Admission Confirmation:	The selected candidates will be informed by the admission department to deposit the admission fee.
Duration:	Minimum:        Two years. Maximum:       Three years.
Total Credits:	36 Credit hours (24 credit hours course work and 12 credit hours of research project).
Medium of Instructions:	The medium of instruction and examinations is Urdu
Workshops:	Students will have to attend a two weeks compulsory workshop at the end of semester.
