M.Phil (Food & Nutrition)

Eligibility:	·         Master degree in following disciplines with at least 2nd division. a)      Food & Nutrition (Home Economics) b)      Human Nutrition c)      Community Health & Nutrition (AIOU) d)      M.Sc (Hons) Food Technology (require to complete deficiency courses) ·         Passed a test equivalent to general GRE (GAT or NAT) with minimum of 50% marks.
Duration:	Minimum: 2 years & Maximum: 3 years
Program Offering:	At present this program is being offered in Rawalpindi/Islamabad only.
Total Credit:	36 Credit Hours. (24 credit hours course work and 12 credit hours research work in 3rd and 4th semester).
Admission Criteria:	The candidates are required to send original admission form complete in all respects to: The Chairperson, Department of Home & Health Science Block No. 6, Allama Iqbal Open University, H-8, Islamabad.
Admission Confirmation:	Only selected students are informed about the confirmation of admission.
Workshops:	During the initial year of the experimental period, the Fact to face compulsory teaching workshops will only be held at main campus of Islamabad region. There will be two workshops of Fact to face teaching/research work of 15 days each per course. Attendance in these workshops is compulsory.
